Does ScorinGolf need a signal on the course?

No. The app is offline-first. Everything — scoring, side games, exports — works in airplane mode. The only feature that uses the network is the optional course search, and you can leave that off entirely.

How do I add a course?

Two ways. Either tap 'Add manually' in Round Setup and enter the par + handicap values from any scorecard, or get an API key from golfcourseapi.com and paste it into Settings — then you can search the catalog.

Which side games are supported?

Skins, Nassau (with presses), Wolf, Stableford (and modified Stableford), Bingo Bango Bongo, Snake, Scotch / Points, and Rabbit. Each is implemented to match the rules your group actually plays.

Can I play with handicaps?

Yes. Strokes-given is calculated per hole automatically once you enter each player's handicap index. Side games respect it; if your group prefers gross scoring, leave the handicap field blank.

How do I share a round?

From the round summary, tap 'Export'. You'll get a CSV or PDF you can send through your phone's normal share sheet — Messages, Mail, AirDrop, whatever. The data never goes through us.

I lost my data. Can you recover it?

No, and we mean that. The app does not sync to any server — your scores live only on your device. If you delete the app or wipe your phone, the data goes with it. Use the export feature regularly if you want a backup.

Will there ever be ads or tracking?

No. The app does not show ads and does not collect analytics, telemetry, or any usage data. Your scoring stays on your device.
